My Tent at Art on the Lake
I had a wonderful time at Art on the Lake during Memorial Day weekend. I really enjoyed seeing some old friends who happened by and made some new friends. I enjoyed seeing everyone smile at my work and was delighted to have some of my paintings added to homes around Lake Martin and in Montgomery and Birmingham. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to see my paintings.

Waiting for Lunch
I will be showing some Lake Martin related art on Memorial Day weekend at Art on the Lake. The show is located at Childrens Harbor on Saturday and Sunday, May 25th (10 – 4) and May 26th (10 -2). We always take our lake visitors by Goat Island to see the goats. That was the inspiration for the painting below which I will be bringing to the show.

A Wonderful Opportunity to see the work of fantastic artists from the Birmingham area.
Bunnies in the Tulip Patch
I have been working on this 24 x 36 acrylic over the last few weeks. It is something a little different that I have enjoyed painting and it gives me the feeling of Spring even though the weather outside is not cooperating. This painting will soon be delivereed for a nursery in Birmingham.
My work in February was slowed by the heartbreaking death of my 24 year old niece in an auto accident. For almost a week, I thought that I needed to escape to my art, but even though I got back to it this week, I am still heartbroken. I have been working on Belle for a nursery in Auburn.
I am putting the finishing touches on this one and hope to deliver this week.
Two weeks ago today, I delivered the painting below to a dear friend whose grandson is fighting Leukemia at St. Jude. I hope it will brighten and inspire him.
This week I delivered the painting below for a nursery in Birmingham. I used mixed media to match the nursery fabrics and include a subtle hint for a future football allegiance.
