Thinking About the Beach

Pop’s Coming

For some reason, maybe it was the cooler weather last week, I have been thinking about the beach and the lake.  I have been working on the painting above this weekend.  It is painted on a 11 x 14 canvas in acrylic.  I am still trying to get a few paintings ready for the Mountain Brook Holiday Art Show at Brookwood Village beginning on November 16.  This one will be displayed there when it is finished.

I am also including a couple of other paintings below that I worked on last week while inspired by the colder weather.

Watching the Waves Roll In

This one is on 10 x 10 canvas in acrylics and was inspired by my youngest grandson.  This is the first time I have used him as a subject.  Look for this one at the Mountain Brook Holiday Art Show.

Shovel Ready

This one is on a 8 x 10 canvas in acrylics.  As you can tell, this is part of a series of beach paintings that will be on display for the art show.

Beach Wonder

I was nearly finished with Beach Wonder when I last posted, but I promised to post the final product so here it is.  I hope you enjoy these.  Please plan to come and see them and more at the Brookwood Mall between November 16 and December 1 in the old Gus Mayer location.  I will be working at the exhibit from 10 – 3 on December 1.
