I often say that I want to paint something that makes people smile. I get to smile when I am painting and sometimes I really get to smile when I deliver a painting. I really enjoyed painting this beach scene and I got a really big smile today at the joy that it seemed to bring to the new owner. I hope you like it too.
Here is a painting that I delivered this week. It is painted on textured wood and was a gift to honor a young lady who was graduating from nursing school and her friend of 12 years.
Also, I recently completed the angel below. As you know, I have painted many angels, but this one has a different twist.
This was a very special Father’s Day painting.
My Tent at Art on the Lake
I had a wonderful time at Art on the Lake during Memorial Day weekend. I really enjoyed seeing some old friends who happened by and made some new friends. I enjoyed seeing everyone smile at my work and was delighted to have some of my paintings added to homes around Lake Martin and in Montgomery and Birmingham. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to see my paintings.
Still Waters Canoes
I am packing up for Art on the Lake which will be held next weekend at Children’s Harbor at Lake Martin. The exhibit will be open on Saturday from 10 -5 and on Sunday from 10 – 2. If you are in the Lake Martin area for Memorial Day, come by and see me as well as the work of some of the best artist in the area.

Waiting for Lunch
I will be showing some Lake Martin related art on Memorial Day weekend at Art on the Lake. The show is located at Childrens Harbor on Saturday and Sunday, May 25th (10 – 4) and May 26th (10 -2). We always take our lake visitors by Goat Island to see the goats. That was the inspiration for the painting below which I will be bringing to the show.
